1. Vehicle Condition and Preparation:
- The Consignor agrees to provide the vehicle to the Consignee with a new
Warrant of Fitness (WOF) and a recent service, complete with the necessary
paperwork. - The vehicle must have a full tank of fuel. If the Consignee fills the tank, the fuel
cost will be deducted from the amount owed to the Consignor upon the sale of
the vehicle. - The vehicle must have a minimum of 1,000 Road User Charges (RUCs) and 3
months of registration. Any costs incurred to meet these requirements will be
charged to the Consignor.
2. Consignment Services:
- The Consignee will professionally groom the vehicle.
- The Consignee will take professional listing photos and post the vehicle on
TradeMe, Facebook, and the Consignee’s website.
3. Selling Fee and Agreed Price:
- The selling fee for the Consignee’s services is $3,000.
- If the vehicle sells, the agreed selling fee will be deducted from the sale
proceeds.
4. Fees for Early Withdrawal or Alternate Sale:
- If the Consignor decides to withdraw the vehicle from consignment before it is
sold, the Consignor agrees to pay the Consignee a fee of $699 to cover the
costs of fuel, grooming, and TradeMe listing fees. - The Consignor is free to list the vehicle elsewhere while it is under
consignment. However, if the vehicle sells through another channel, the
Consignor agrees to pay the Consignee the $699 fee for the services provided.
5. Payment:
- Upon the sale of the vehicle, the Consignee will pay the Consignor the sale
proceeds minus the $3,000 selling fee and any additional charges for fuel,
RUCs, registration, or other agreed-upon expenses.
6. Liability:
- The Consignee shall not be liable for any damages, theft, or loss of the vehicle
while it is under consignment.
7. Termination:
- This Agreement may be terminated by either party upon written notice. All
outstanding fees and charges will become immediately due and payable upon
termination.
